Pay Rate -$79, No Per Diem

The primary role of this position is to plan and lead corporate and plant assessments for the business unit. Employees in this role perform individual investigations and occasionally lead small evaluation teams of fleet and/or industry personnel to identify performance gaps that impact nuclear safety and reliability. This position also supports Nuclear Assurance in conducting audits and assessments.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesEvaluates organizational effectiveness to identify business unit improvement opportunities that impact nuclear safety and reliabilityWrites assessment reports that recommend process changes or adjustmentsSupport Nuclear Assurance (NA) in audits and assessmentsLeads small teams to gather process observations and develop recommendations to strengthen nuclear safety culture and practicesAnalyzes plant data and conducts interviews and observations to identify issues and their causesEstablishes effective working relationships with assessment team members and nuclear site functional area managersIdentifies evaluation process and performance weaknesses and supports actions to address deficienciesCommunicates assessment results to team and plant managementAssists team management in preparing for assessments by gathering data and informationPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Grad / GEDBachelor’s or Equivalent ExperienceExperience: 7+ yearsNuclear Experience: 7+ yearsSupervisor/Management Experience: 2+ yearsPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s DegreeSenior Reactor Operator CertificationSpecial RequirementsNuclear Specific Requirements:In absence of degree: 13+ years of nuclear experience and 4+ years of nuclear oversight experienceNuclear Specific Preferences:Experience with business unit practices, procedures, and standards in more than one work area: 5+ yearsTrending, industry developments and benchmarking experience: 4+ yearsExperience evaluating organizational effectiveness including nuclear safety culture: 2+ years
