Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior PLC & SCADA Engineer to join our team and support utility-scale renewable energy and power generation projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PLC programming, industrial communication protocols, and SCADA systems, with a strong understanding of power systems and energy storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs (preferably Schneider Electric platforms) for utility-scale energy projects.
  • Configure and maintain SCADA systems using Ignition platform, including HMI development.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and DNP3.
  • Support BESS control systems, inverter configurations, and energy storage technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with grid interconnection requirements, utility standards, and cybersecurity best practices (NERC CIP awareness preferred).
  • Lead FAT/SAT testing procedures, commissioning protocols, and oversee completion of PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing.
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and resolve complex system issues.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 11+ years of experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms.
  • Expert knowledge of Modbus, DNP3, and other industrial communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development.
  • Strong understanding of power systems and utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Proven experience in energy storage technologies, including BESS and inverter systems.
  • Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards.
  • Experience with FAT/SAT testing and commissioning protocols.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness preferred.
