At GE Vernova, gas turbines for power production and their advanced control systems are produced for customers worldwide.
The control systems do more than control – they function as mini-data centers, comprising servers, storage devices, virtualization platforms, switches, and firewalls. Components connect to workstations or thin clients, enabling the control, monitoring, and forecasting of gas turbine operations. What makes the projects especially challenging is integrating off-the-shelf hardware and software with custom-designed components. Enter the GTTSi system cybersecurity team.
The GTTSi team focuses on just this integration, managing and securing the GE application of the building, configuring, and testing of these systems. Quality is paramount! The GE technician team build and configure the hardware and software for each project while the GTTSi team provide support, mentoring, and guidance.
GTTSi has been instrumental in helping our client achieve a corporate milestone of insourcing customer on-site or remote witnessed tests/simulations. In 2024, the team completed roughly 80 projects.
Way to go, Alex Chavez, Randy Johnson, Cameron Eudy, and Sasi Arumugan (Don’t worry, Sasi…I hear your new shirt is on the way!)
