Job Description: The Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship Compliance Auditor (PWACA) will work remotely to ensure compliance with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements for renewable energy projects. This role involves auditing data inputs from contractors, verifying completeness and correctness, creating reports for deficiencies, and presenting findings to upper management. The PWACA will also input data into dashboards and host meetings to discuss compliance status. This includes reviewing payroll and determining if correct wages are paid, fringe benefits contributions made, and all other aspects of labor compliance have been fulfilled per the client’s requirements/contract. Each project will have its own unique requirements, and it will be the responsibility of the PWACA to gather each requirement and relay information to the respective individuals responsible for meeting compliance. The PWACA will be gathering certified payrolls and other related documentation, executing detailed audits, composing reports of findings, performing discrepancy research, providing support, and being the main point of contact for any prevailing wage labor compliance requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Audit data inputs from contractors pertaining to prevailing wage and apprenticeship.
  • Compare data against criteria set in project tax and finance stipulations and contract exhibit(s).
  • Verify data for completeness and correctness.
  • Create reports for deficiencies to upper management and corrective action notes.
  • Input data into dashboards showing overall compliance on a weekly basis.
  • Host meetings with upper management to present weekly reports of work completed and status of audits.
  • Review payroll and determine if correct wages are paid, fringe benefits contributions made, and all other aspects of labor compliance have been fulfilled per the client’s requirements/contract.
  • Gather certified payrolls and other related documentation, execute detailed audits, compose reports of findings, perform discrepancy research, provide support, and be the main point of contact for any prevailing wage labor compliance requirements.

Preferred Background:

  • Bachelors degree or higher.
  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship compliance or other compliance of wages stipulated in the Inflation Reduction Act requirements as well as experience with certified payroll and LPC Tracker software.

Required Skillsets:

  • Self-starter with high competence in technical databases.
  • Experience with the program LPC Tracker.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically capable of maintaining prolonged periods of sitting or standing with intermittent kneeling or bending.
  • Must be physically capable of walking on the job site on varied, uneven terrain and/or in varied temperatures and weather elements.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds at a time.
