Position Summary

GTTSi is seeking an experienced Senior IT Developer to lead the development, integration, and modernization of enterprise applications, APIs, databases, dashboards, and cloud-based solutions.

This role will analyze, design, develop, test, debug, implement, maintain, and enhance new and existing applications that support critical business processes. The Senior IT Developer will work closely with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, developers, and operational stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, and scalable technical solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development, database, API integration, cloud computing, DevOps, and production-support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of new and existing enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications, web applications, APIs, databases, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Design and maintain REST APIs and application integrations supporting pricing, transaction management, supply, contracts, and reporting processes.
• Develop React-based web applications and user interfaces that support API and operational workflows.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, data models, and business-intelligence solutions.
• Design, structure, and optimize SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Write SQL queries for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and application support.
• Develop cloud-based solutions using AWS services, including Glue, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
• Support data integrations with enterprise analytics and data platforms.
• Build workflow automation and reusable application components.
• Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and production issues.
• Support legacy technology stacks, mergers and acquisitions, utility operations, risk-data initiatives, and business-critical production systems.
• Assist with database disaster recovery, backups, infrastructure upgrades, and system reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Apply DevOps practices using Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, scripting, and monitoring tools.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational security policies, SOX requirements, cybersecurity standards, and software-development best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, operating procedures, and support materials.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Six to ten years of experience in application development, cloud computing, systems integration, or enterprise software architecture.
• At least five years of hands-on full-stack application-development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, JavaScript, Java, and/or .NET.
• Experience developing web applications and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and supporting high-volume applications and scalable system architectures.
• Experience with Power BI dashboard development and data modeling.
• Experience with API integrations, workflow automation, and structured data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, or EDI.
• Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or another major cloud platform.
• Experience using Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Experience with Agile methodology, the software-development lifecycle, and Scrum ceremonies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and technical-leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
• Experience with React and modern front-end development.
• Experience with SQL Server in addition to PostgreSQL.
• Experience with GraphQL, web scraping, and external data integrations.
• Experience with Databricks or enterprise data-platform integrations.
• Knowledge of ERP integrations, microservices architecture, and cloud automation.
• Experience using monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Experience supporting SCADA or operational technology environments.
• Understanding of SOX compliance, cybersecurity controls, and regulated business environments.
• Experience within energy retail operations, including pricing, sales, billing, supply, transactions, or utility operations.
