NEI Future of Energy Advertising Campaign

The Nuclear Energy Institute renewed its Future of Energy “thought leadership” advertising campaign. The campaign will focus on helping decision –makers learn more about the following 4 major attributes of nuclear energy:

• Nuclear energy’s leading role in producing clean, carbon-free electricity
• High paying jobs that the nuclear industry creates
• Nuclear’s contribution to energy supply diversity
• Nuclear energy’s future

“The goal is to help ensure that there is a broad understanding of the benefits of nuclear energy so that sound policies are enacted to enhance the nation’s energy security and its economic and environmental goals,” NEI President and CEO Marvin Fertel said.

“As the understanding increases of how critical nuclear energy is to America’s—and the world’s—clean energy future, this campaign encourages thought leaders to explore policy options that recognize nuclear energy’s benefits, keep America’s existing nuclear facilities open and foster growth across the entire nuclear supply chain both domestically and abroad.”

The advertising campaign will include print, radio and digital messaging in news outlets in the Washington, DC area.
