Cinco de Mayo marks the anniversary of the 1862 victory by Mexican troops over invading French forces at the Battle of Puebla. The triumph over the better-equipped and much larger French troops was an enormous emotional boost for Mexican soldiers led by General Ignacio Zaragoza. While this day is not widely celebrated in Mexico, it has become a day of celebration for Mexican American communities.   

While you may have been celebrating on May 5th, our nuclear power plant workers were hard at work during their outages at 15 of the 94 operating nuclear power reactors. Below is the listing for them by region.
