The Data Scientist 3 leads moderately complex analytics and machine learning efforts, delivering production-ready solutions and actionable insights. This role is expected to quickly ramp in new environments and independently drive project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models
Lead end-to-end analytics projects from problem framing to production
Engineer features and optimize model performance
Communicate insights and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Implement model validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks
Mentor junior data scientists
Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize solutions
Provide technical leadership on modeling approaches and best practices within assigned initiatives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
6–10 years of professional data science experience
Strong proficiency in Python or R, including building production-ready analytics workflows
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
Experience deploying models into production environments
Solid understanding of statistical inference, ML algorithms, and experimentation design
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in a quantitative field
Familiarity with MLOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of cloud-native data architectures
Experience working in regulated or data-sensitive industries
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to improve productivity and enhance code review and documentation processes
