GTTSi recently had a 2-day Leadership meeting. I am always energized after these in-person meetings and feel super motivated afterwards. While it was an opportunity to review goals, strategies, and accomplishments, it was also a chance to say Thank You for the hard work that the team is executing every single day. Expressing appreciation and recognition is an important part of building a positive work culture and keeping teams motivated and engaged, but it is also an often-overlooked activity.
Employees these days are more thoughtful in how they choose their workplace and, in the past, while the work may have been the main consideration, these days, the work CULTURE is equally, if not more, important. Showing gratitude and general kindness to your colleague’s signals to them that they are a valued and important part of the organization. I am blessed to be part of the GTTSi team!
