Another major milestone has been accomplished at Plant Vogtle. The Hot Functional Testing for Vogtle Unit 4 is completed. Once all the construction documentation has been reviewed and approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, fuel loading at Vogtle Unit 4 can begin.

Southern Company expects NRC approval sometime between July and October; therefore, they are aiming for commercial operation of Vogtle Unit 4 somewhere between December 2023 and March 2024.
