Meet Joe Willingham – He recently received an award for 10-year of service with GTTSi.
Joe was a Licensed SRO at Comanche Peak and has been working for GTTSi – supporting the Operations Training Group as an Instructor for both Initial License Training and Licensed Operator Continuing Training. In addition, he worked on a special project as Comanche Peak transitioned to the VISION database management system for Training.
Joe is quite the entrepreneur! Not only has he provided quality SRO-level training instruction, he has also started-up two businesses; one in real estate and the other in sprayfoam insulation for commercial and residential properties.
As a proud Texas native, graduating from Paris High School, Joe served his country in the U.S. Navy – as a submariner – and was the Leading Engine Room Division Petty Officer onboard his submarine. While serving in the Navy, he received several awards and accommodations, and during his training at the A1W Prototype – qualified at the top of his class and was hand-picked to stay on there as a training instructor.
His career at Comanche Peak began at the ground level – Plant Equipment Operator – and worked his way up to become a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO). Along the way as a Field Support Supervisor, Reactor Operator, Fuel Handling Supervisor, Control Room Supervisor, and Project / Production Manager.
Please join GTTSi in celebrating Joe’s success and wish him the very best. You can reach him via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
